Frankie worked on the 4th until after 7 P.M. then came home hot and exhausted. I cleaned all morning;which was a necessary evil, but then I tried to get caught up on laundry (laugh with me now). Then I attempted to get the kids all pumped up to go to the downtown Indpendence Day parade. NOT so much. We had to walk (seriously) 12 blocks-Jewel drug her feet like she was being gathered for the death chamber. Once we got to the parade, Cannon had a blast! collecting candy and watching the floats and exhibits esp. the antique tractors.

I'm with Jewel - no parade for me. I'd be dragging my feet, too. (And kicking and screaming). My husband dragged me to one parade this summer already. I survived, but Jewel and I are soul sisters on this one. I'd have rather stayed home and continued catching up on laundry! :)
