Last night did not go as well as planned in regards to Jewel, but I can definitley see improvment today so that is promising. As I told Jeanette this morning, I feel like I have a newborn again-I'm awaken to sobs in the middle of the night and early in the morning-boy as soon as her meds wear off-Hello sista! the girl can wail. So at 1:30 A.M. I had to outstubborn her to take her meds. I did get some cleaning done last night -dishes, sweeping, bleached part of the bathroom, put some misc. items away, wrote thank you notes for Jewel, got some pictures sorted and duplicates sent in the mail, and some laundry. It seems I can only be away from her when she is feeling well. I am not getting as much accomplished as I'd hoped. At the recommendation of my friend, Missy, I purchased one of those shower scrubbers (we have really hard water) it has done a fab. job of removing build up in part of the shower, but can seem to reach other parts. Cannon has been SUPER helpful and well behaved-even cute at times so that is cool. I'd better go remind her to drink.
One fav. thing from the wedding I forgot to blog about was the Lutheran Bishop (did I get his title correct?). He managed to make Biblical points understood without being preachy or stuffy and he was FUNNY! Man, I'm Baptist, but I'd attend any church he was preaching at in a heart beat- I'd love to borrow him for a few of our services. Even though this may offend some of you I've attended various Lutheran church services over the years I've always agreed with everything being said so I wonder how strong the true differences between these two faiths really is. Anyhoo... labels labels.
Poor dear Frankie has been woken up far more often than I'd hoped.
I am so getting Brady Bunched out- we bought her Season 3 as her get well present, but we've watched it and watched it. I did use part of my g. certificate from Sara and B&K to purchase Bridezilla season 2 from Target (on sale 9.99 score!) I loved it. Completley wished Target had in stock season 1 still. I am completely enamored with Luna protein bars-also sold at Target.
Okay I should make myself get back to reality.

I know I've been very boring lately, but I love reading all of your genius comments.

Hi, Jennifer -
Glad you enjoyed Wayne's preaching. I agree - he is phenomenal. You're right - he is a bishop (retired bishop, actually). He was a bishop of the Rocky Mountain Synod, not of the entire ELCA.
Well...the honeymoon's over! I need to get back to grading papers. (yuck)

Oh good, I called him by the correct title. He truly was good. Ah nuts, you are back from the honeymoon, but it is good to have you "safe and sound" back in Iowa. Just give all your students "C"s on their papers- tee hee sorry just kidding. So good to have you back.
Smiles,
Jennifer
