Helper...

AT work,yesterdayI got to be a helper. Our nurse, my former boss, had a gal pass out-stone cold pass out. So the nurse yelled for my help-and I got to be a helper. I put the gal's feet up on a chair, got a cold wash rag, got her some orange juice from the drink machine and ran out to my car for a straw (she needed to stay on the floor while her vitals stablized). In a weird way it was fun. I asked the gal if she had chronic low blood pressure and she replied she did, but she didn't feel this "junky" feeling coming on. The nurse told the gal she called me b/c I'm a C.N.A. and a mom, but I think the nurse also remembered how many times I've passed out- I knew just what to do. Okie-the gal was just fine and I got to feel useful for once.

More on Valentine's Day. I got Frank new jammie pants, a box of chocolates, 2 bottles of Jones and 2 bottles of Izzie. We also got the kids each a box of chocolate. I got 2 sets of long johns for Frank; does he know me or what? I'm always cold in winter so these l.johns are a blessing.
For the weekend.. drum roll please.. I've got tons of dishes to do, tax prep. to do, grocery shopping, exercising (I missed my class on Thursday b/c my back up didn't show), general cleaning. Sunday School to teach, a b-day party for G'ma Rose, dance class for Jewel and hopefully going to that flick with Cannon. Every weekend I determine I'm going to scrap book and every weekend it doesn't happen. On New Year's Eve Frank claimed I scrap booked-what I did was not my version of scrap booking. I went through an old book and threw several garbage cans of stuff away and put the card, letters, pics I wanted to save onto acid-free sheets and put them into a plain white binder-a few narratives yes, but no stickers or borders or any fun adornments. So how is this scrapbooking?

Valentine's Day. So for Valentine's Day we got Jewel an Iowa State sweathshirt; just as she'd requested. Cannon received a movie theatre gift card so he and I can see Bridge to Terabitha (Dad got to take him to the last movie-Eragon at the dollar theatre)

Whoa- Anna Nicole Smith is dead. Very weird. I dunna know. I was never really a fan per se, but I was one of those people that thought she really tried and one day she would get herself together. I think its obvious she loved her children very, very much. I loved her as the Guess girl! I liked it that she had a few curves to her. In every appearance after her son's death I think she looked like a zombie- I'm sure I would too. I just hope someone wonderful will raise her baby girl. How sad. I hope she knew Jesus as her Saviour so she is at peace and reunited with her son. I quess I really don't know much about her spiritual state,but sometimes people keep that between just them and God. To me; its just very sad.

Better go get the girl from afterschool.
