I can not remember so busy a day in a very long time.
This a.m. after getting the kids off to school, I picked up trash in our back yard and a cleaned out most of my car. Then I straightened up around the house, took out some trash, swept two rooms, threw some old stuff out and packed my lunch for work. Then I lifted weights for a little bit and got ready for work.
Work has been crazy busy. the phone was so busy I had to answer the phone while still chewing my lunch. No rest for the wicked the saying goes. Tonight, we have AWANA. I also have to drive Cannon's friend to home b/c the boys are hanging around our house this afternoon.
Alrighty, time to start my computer back-up.

I am so happy. I was able to use my new found Excel knowledge to create a chart using information our co's C.E.O. gave me. All he asked for was a chart with numbers in a table format, but since our board of directors needed to evaluate several pieces of information I felt a chart with columns would make it easier for them; he was very pleased. Ah its the little things.

PS other goofy little things I'm happy about. Yesterday,Frank and I had a really fun lunch date we use to have lunch dates every Monday after he'd worked the weekend, but then due to crazy schedules and $ we stopped. I had such a good time. Then we had a grocery store date-that was a BLAST! (I'm with Ellen sometimes its the little things).

Also, Frank and I rented Dukes of Hazzard tv show on dvd 'cuz we knew Cannon would love the show. Against his protests he LOVED the show and laughed until he cried. Ah the good 'ol days of goofy t.v.

Alrighty, I'm gonna give Frank a little jab. On his blog, he says nothing has really been going on at home. Well, I thought we had an exciting weekend trying a new restaurant across town and watching the entire mini-series Tin Man; which I warmed up to after about 20 minutes. Alas, I quess time spent with me watching a terrific Sci-Fi mini series is not enough excitment for our dear Frankie. It was kinnda like a really good book; you want to finish it but at the same time you don't because then it will be over. gone. done.I ordered vegan gelatin for Easter, but now I can't find Jiggler egg molds ANYWHERE. I found a couple other gelatin recipes I could use, but was totally pumped to make jigglers. My pilates tape broke. I quess that means no more pilates. No really I will look for a dvd. tee hee Joyous Easter everyone..Jennifer

I was able to copy and paste this blog only with the comments being deleted. Sorry Jeanette. I do appreciate knowing you have Jell-O jigglers as items availabe in your garage sale. Maybe Jewel and I can come that weekend.

Smiles,
Jennifer
I had to change my blog to allow only comments from registered users because I'm getting spam with viruses attached to them. So, I also had to delete two blogs unfortunately one of them had several pics on it. Our company's I.T. man told me that deleted those comments should spare someone should they click on the comments (from the virus being spread). So I'm kinnda sad but hoping this will help. He informed me certain software might be able to break into my blog anyway.. but keep an eye on it.

Evil people ruining my bloggin fun.

Several of us (here at work), but not everyone remembered to bring in the "weirdest" potato chip flavors we could find. So far there are 5 different flavors; I chose Dill Pickle. A co-worker brought in New York cheese- very good chips I tell ya.

Last night, the kids and I had a fun night. Both children were finished with homework very early so we went to the hospital to see our friend's new baby, went out to eat at Panara Bread (Frankie hates eating there, but both kids love it and since he was at S.C.A. it worked), then we rented an old Disney movie- Ugly Daschund (with Suzy P from the original Newhart-recently deceased), finally we got a variety pack of cheesecake from the grocery store. We had to quit watching the movie half way through it due to it being bed time for a school night, but it was pretty cute. Jewel pitched a fit b/c she didn't want to get that movie, but after 10 minutes she was hooked so of course I rubbed it in a little :). Cannon choose to spend his night free time playing his DS;which was okay.

So far, I have done nothing for Easter; other than buy 1 bag of candy. I haven't bought or send Easter cards, got the kids clothes (they've grown a lot so need dressy clothes), put out decorations, bought eggs, egg dye or candy for their baskets. I need to get on the ball b/c Frank works that entire weekend so he won't be able to help me. Last year he had to work the entire weekend also so Jewel ended up helping me put the baskets together after Cannon had fallen asleep (she's a night owl). I don't think either side of the family is doing anything, but everyone is so busy that's okay. If my energy keeps up I will make cheesy potatoe casserole and maybe buy some ham. I've been sick several times this week with my autoimmune dis. I hate that. anyway..

Last Sunday, Cannon helped me teach Children's Church; he had a pretty good day. I didn't sleep so well last nigh so I'm a little groggy. My work projects for today are pretty tame so I should be okay. Frank is off the weekend so I wonder if we will get the chance to do something "fun". On Sunday,I know I plan/hope to take a nice long walk with Michelle; the weather girl reports we will have a rain/snow mix but if so we plan to walk laps at the mall.
This weather has been wonderful!!!

Frank-ya gonna blog???

Smiles to you and yours. Don't forget St. Pat's day is Monday!!!!!!!! I celebrate b/c my mom's grandmother was 100% Irish. I'm considerable less Irish than my mom b/c my dad's side has no Irish heritage but we celebrate in Mary Elizabeth O'Brien's honor.

Alrighty kiddies have a good one!

If anyone sees the Horton Hears a Hoo movie-let me know what you think of it. The kids and I rented Bee Movie-which was cute, but I think Mr. Magorie's Wonder Emporium was better.

FYI (as if all of you didn't already know) March 14th is National Potato Chip day; plan accordingly.

Big news for our small town; yesterday, a super Wal-Mart opened. Jewel very excitedly shared the "scoop". "Well, Mom you know Jareette-you've met Jareett that boy in my class. Well his mom works at Wal-Mart-the old Wal-Mart not the new Wal-Mart so he got to go inside and look around before the store was really open. He said there are 3 lanes of boy stuff and 4 lanes of girl stuff (by Jarreett's definition anyway). And did I remember she needed a new Easter dress b/c last year's doesn't fit b/c she grew inches? Yes I responded I remembered. Maybe soon we could go look but obviously we are on our way to AWANAs so now is not the time. We would try the consignment store downtown for dresses 1st; then other options.

Congrats go out to my cousin Butch and his wife as they are expecting a little one after over 4 years of trying and hoping for a child.

A huge thank you to Frank for playing a game (that lasted well over an hour) with Cannon; it put Cannon in a SUPER good mood.

I've decided to try to amp up my workouts. I've been good about exercising 20-40 minutes every day,but not seeing the results I want (well i use to exercise 1hr to 2 hrs everyday so I wonder why I don't look the same-tee hee. During the school year, with all of our family commitments I just can't commit to 2 hours a day. So I need to push myself a little harder. Frankie got a SUPER good deal on an exercise bike (recommended by Cannon's drs as well) which I enjoyed riding for long periods of time at a high resistance until my knees started to burn; really burn even for hours after I was done riding the bike. Now I'm using the bike on less resistance, but still having some burning (getting old stinks,eh?) and finding time to ride the bike continues to be a problem. If I can add more weights to my workout I should do better; if not acceptance should set in soon. The Dr said my weight is "right on target",but I am not happy (sorry Frank for having to listen to me this morning),but I have decided to try really intently on being healthy and enjoying my family. Cannon needs a lot of support so I am focusing on enjoying every family moment b/c the kids will be grown and gone before I know it.

Jennifer

2nd blog!!! in one day.
The local Christian Book store-Lemstone closed this week; very sad for us. We loved that store and went there a lot. The owner decided to return to his original occupation-accouting as the store was taking up excessive time. They were in operation for 14 years; no one decided to take over operation so we are out of a cool store. There is a dingy dinky Christian book store downtown, but I sneeze just thinking about it. I hope we get a new Christian book store otherwise Hastings will have to do a lot of special orders for our family.

that' s all.

Jennifer
Hey all! Frankie informed me that yesterday's blog was "kinnda dumb". So I will try to make today's blog SMARTER.
Okay, not really. I haven't had enough caffeine or food to pretend to be smart.

I did complete a very interesting Exel seminar a few weeks back; does that count as smart?? tee hee. I can navigate my way around Exel okay, but by no means am I an expert. Day 2 of the seminar was for advanced people so I felt it was "out of my league". Several other co-workers encouraged me to attend. I pretty much sat there for the entire day 2 thinking, 'Wow I didn't know those options were available on Excel" now I have to try to practice and worse yet remember all those fancy features. Oh well, it is good to stretch the brain. Since I've left case management several years ago I really don't have the opportunity to attend continued edu. so this was good for me. I did attend beginners sign language a few years back, but our company has ceased that class; I miss it. I have a step-cousin who is deaf and several clients here at work so I liked being able to communicate with them; even on the most basic of levels. anyhoo... some day I will take a comprehensive sign language course. Its on my "life list"; I have too many areas for improvement for just a yearly resolution list (no comments needed from Sara, Bill or Katie- I know I'm setting myself up here, but the list is L-O-N-G).

The school year is wearing on both children, they are tired of school and tired of homework (Can I hear a witness from my professor and teacher family members and friends?). So ... last night I rented Mr. Magorium's Wonderl Emporium for Cannon and Jewel to view, but only AFTER their homework was completed. Cannon LOVED it!! All 3 of us give this movie 2 thumbs up; it was mesmerizing.

My boys are making their spring/summer activities list-for S.C.A. I'm just hoping for lots of days to get outside and WALK. I would love an Ipod, but I must be realistic about $-which every time I look at my pretty house I smile and get goofy happy so an Ipod seems trivial in comparison.

Tomorrow, my friend's little girl has surgery so we might have her big sis in the a.m.

that's all I have for today, sorry it wasn't "smarter" Frank-maybe I'll read a dictionary this afternoon so I can at least learn some new words.

tee hee
