Good afternoon All!!!

Frank's friend, Carmen, is donating his hair to locks of love. I am getting to be such an "old" lady- after Frank told me I almost cried-so cool. I am prejudiced towards guys who are bald or have really short hair (oh my get a fan!), but Carmen does have gorgeous hair so whomever is the recipient of his donation will be blessed (his hair is light brown with little waves-simply gorgeous). I wonder what hair style Carmen will choose.

Frank and I are taking a little trip this weekend so I am majorally pumped.

Cannon tried a strawberry (just one) for the first time this morning since the Dr. said he has outgrown his strawberry allergy. Oh to see the joy on his face when he ate that strawberry.

I'd better get going.

He He! Sorry for missspelling your name Rob(bie) or Natasha as I love to call you. I will give Valerie your info. Oh this is so much fun!

Carmen, you are so not the evil cartoonist I need to think of a cutier nickname for you. You are definitely a gifted cartoonist and you are a little mischevious,hum.... Can you smell the fumes I'm thinking. Thanks for the invite, but I will be making Frank take me to a restaurant this weekend sans children.somewhere that serves good chocolate cake! Or cheesecake.

Sara -see I blogged 2 days in a row, I want points for that. He he.

Better go get Jewel from school.

Smiles to you all,

Jennifer

I just read the comments for my blog before last.

Sara-yes my dear I know I am terribly "out-of-date" with my blogging, but last week I had yucky medical stuff I had to do,etc.... I will keep trying, but you set the blogging bar very high my dear.

Natasha- well my dearest Rob (Robby as he is fondly referred to by Jewel). When would you like this set-up to be?? A double-date with Frank and I? Would you simply like me to give Valerie your contact information or would you like her contact information????

Jeanette-you are too cute. You must admit when I first "set-up" you with the infamous hubby #1 he was a nice man, but something strange happened. He was just a practice husband. Your new soon-to-be hubby is a much improved version! so really I just helped you figure out what you were looking for... okay or someting like that.

Frankie- thank you for your support! See what controversy your brillant idea of me setting up the geeks has caused on my blog?? Has anyone heard from dear Bryan and how he's settling in?? I'm still working on finding someone for my true "Mr. Gorgeous" Charlie...

Jennifer
I really have nothing exciting to say, but we did get Cannon's allergy testing done. He is not allergic to the CATS which is totally cool. He has outgrown his strawberry allergy so he can slowly try strawberries again-he still might be "sensitive (non-doctor translation get sick to his stomach)", but not outright allergic like he use to be. His sinus headaches and troubles are basically being caused not by allergies, but by his "slightly suppresed immune system from his asthma", a "smaller than average nasal cavity" and "thin nasal membranes" so most of his prevention and treatment will stay the same even though he really doesn't have allergies per se and hopefully his nasal cavity will stretch and grow so he can "outgrow" his sinus difficulties; if not he will need to have surgery done later on, but his sinuses will probably grow. He did not enjoy doing the lung capacity test for his asthma, but this needed to be re-checked so....

We had a very busy weekend with AWANA games for both kids at different times, a family birthday party, church, weekend cleaning and shopping. Cannon hoped for a snow day today because he "was ready for a break" after the busy weekend. We did get several inches of snow, but not the blowing winds. I am loving driving my new heavier car. After Frank drove my old car to his meeting his comment was, "I see why you hated driving that thing in snow and why any bit of snow would freak you out-it acts like a sled on snow". It is a very light-weight foreign car that sits kinnda high off the ground so it did not navigate well in snow.

After work and running one errand I plan on resting tonight-I'm pretty tired today.

The kids and I are very excited for Ice Age II which comes to theatres March 31st!!!!

Have a Joyous day filled with God's blessings.

Hello! I had a super time at Bryan's going away party on Sunday. I was really nervous because I didn't know a lot of the people there, but I really had a lot of fun. I have heard many, many stories about several of the "gamer geeks" , but now I can associate a name with a face. I can also see how these games are truly addictive. I am not a very competitive person and I it takes me awhile to catch on to games so they guys played some games with no more than 3 rules (he he!) so I could actually play. "Pitch Car"- a very simple concept (reminded me of billards in a very weird way) keep the "car" on the "road"- he he this was a struggle for me. I liked the word games the best- Apples to Apples ( I came in 2nd place! Woo Hoo) and a Oogles games and many other interesting games. I am so glad Frank asked me to go with him besides it was very nice to spend some time with Frank without kid #1 and kid #2. I quess the kids enjoyed time with Grandma Kris and Grandpa Frank too (minus Frankie and I) because Jewel's 1st comment in the car was , "When do we get to spend a sleep over with G'ma Kris again? I want to stay longer". I think Kris being Jewel's day care teacher for a year spoiled Jewel, now she thinks if she goes a week without seeing G'ma Kris it's been "so LONG.." So even though financially we had discussed cancelling our 15th wedding anniversary trip to Iowa City due to having to purchase a different car; maybe we will splurge and go so Jewel can have her G'ma Kris time. Cannon seemed most pumped about getting to see G'pa Frank; often times when the kids are there G'pa Frank is working. We will truly miss Bryan, "He's a good kid" quoting Frank there. Frank told me one of his buddies was ready tobe set-up so I have plans to set him up with a gal here at work. Watch out world!

Every March Cannon gets really grump and starts getting migraines. One of his doctors (not primary -other) thinks it might be allergies. So after many years of C-man being on allergy meds and me asking 2x if we could actually get him tested, his primary doctor referred us for allergy testing. On the 20th of March Cannon will get a complete panel of allergy testing done. I am SO excited-I'm hoping this will help. He is already taking 4 allergy meds to prevent his asthma attacks and migraines, but I would like to know what he is actually allergic to and find a way to get him relief from symptoms. His primary Dr said we are probably looking at weekly allergy shots for Cannon. I had shots every Tuesday for a year and a half- those shots brought me much relief and I've often wanted to try them again because my symptoms have increased the last few years even with being on more meds. Frank thinks we have toxic mold somewhere in our house- we proably do. I hope this summer to get most of that taken care of.

I am so excited for the T.V. series "Here Comes the Brides" to be out this May. I've never seen the show, but it looks really good and is loosely based on the true story of Seattle's Mercer Girls. I am tired of trying to watch shows with my children and hearing tons of swearing on "family shows" and all the sexual innuendoes. I have been purposely purchasing or renting older T.V. shows to watch during our "T.V. time " to avoid before mentioned issues, but am still having a little trouble. Many folks do not agree with Roseanne-I myself a working class girl so identified with the show, especially the earlier seasons, so when we bought season 2 and the 1st three episodes took God's name in vain- I was furious! She is a Jewish girl-watch your tongue. We are going to skip watching those episodes next time we watch the disks. I totally relate to the other episodes and love the characters when they're not swearing. I must simply keep going back further in time to try to find decent shows to watch. Oh well, Waltons season 3 comes out in April and Cosby season 2 today. Facts of Life soon, etc. I may have to go as far back as Leave It to Beaver". To me swear words are simply uncreative, immpolite words except 3, "God, Jesus and the n-word" God is my God-don't say his name whenever you are frustrated and Jesus is the Saviour-my Saviour. I have started replying when someone in my presence says ,"Jesus Christ"- "Yes he loves you".
So.. I'd better get back to work. I hope everyone is doin well. I hope my sister-in-law takes lots of pictures on her Colorado trip because I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures.

My little sister-in-law Mary and brother Ryan will be parents again in September!!! I am very excited about this. We are down to about a month for our Alex arrival (mid-April or beg. of May) so I am also very pumped about that. My friend Missy will have a little girl right around my birthday! Missy is especially cute when she is pregnant so I can't wait to see her again- she and Nate's 1st daughter, Katie, has gorgeous strawberry dark blondish hair, but I am crossing my fingers for a true Irish red-head this time. My niece, Elizabeth, has darling red hair and since Missy and Nate's daughter may share the same name I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I missed Grey's Anatomy on Sunday. Does anyone know what happened?? Cannon and I were bummed to miss Apprentice last nigh. What happened???

sorry long blog-my mind is racing today. I've been a little free with words this week anyway.. good and bad so I need to rein my tongue in otherwise.. lots of prayer confession time. I've just been making comments about everyone-good and bad.

Smiles,

Jennifer

Well, exciting things happened at our home last night. As reported by Jewel, "I officially lost my loose tooth" translation - the tooth that was terribly loose on the front bottom row of ther jaw came out last night. This tooth was so loose she could push the tooth with her tongue so far it extended out of her mouth so I got a hold of it and with two quick pulls it was out. The tooth fairy brought her 4 quarters- a whole dollar so she is very excited!! She now has a terribly cute "Cindy Brady" lisp and commented how she can't say certain words now without "sounding funny". I saved the tooth for sentimental reasons and because it contains her D.N.A.-never know when I might need that.

Very proud of my grandma! At the school where my sister teaches my grandmother is volunteering. She listens to elementary students as they read and gives them prompts as needed; now she is in her late 70's (although she looks much younger if you ask me) so she could be home eating bon bons-no wait, no she can't she's diabetic now-well- she could be eating sugar-free Jell-O cubes and sitting around, but she is choosing to share her passion (yes it really is a passion she is a voracious reader-she had book shelves built into the walls of her basement to hold some of her books) of reading with a different generation. I just think it is terribly cool. Kudos to my sister, Gretchen, for arranging it.

That's all for today. My sinuses are acting up, but oh well..

Congrats to my younger sister-in-law on yet another A on her stat test! Good job Sara

Have a sunny day.

Jennifer
